Learning to count is a complex process, and children need all sorts of experiences and tools to be able to count with confidence and really understand the meaning and purpose of numbers.
Robin will discuss how to support children in learning to count through a variety of visual, verbal, and tactile everyday experiences. We will explore a maths-rich, playful provision that provides children with numerous opportunities to investigate numbers and develop confidence as counters, enhancing their Number Sense.
