This briefing will set out Bristol’s shared vision for
improving outcomes for babies and young children, with a strong focus on
prevention, inclusion and reducing inequalities. It will highlight how early
years providers play a vital role in supporting children’s development,
wellbeing and school readiness during the critical first years of life.

The briefing will be an opportunity to share key priorities
and commitments within the Bristol Best Start in Life Plan, how it aligns with
national policy, and what it means in practice for early years providers. The
session will also outline opportunities for collaboration and partnership
working, support and workforce development across early years in the city.

This briefing is relevant for all early years providers,
including PVI settings, childminders, maintained nursery schools, schools and
children’s centres, who want to stay informed and contribute to shaping
Bristol’s approach to giving every child the best possible start in life.
